Escape Velocity is a creative project of films and live performance works made by and with young trans and gender non-conforming people in Melbourne in 2019 and 2020.

Created through a partnership between St Martins and Minus18, Escape Velocity is an artistic response to some of the anxieties faced by young people in public space that we’d like to share with you.

Escape Velocity is funded by Creative Victoria’s Future Makers for Change initiative.

With over a million views online, Escape Velocity — a project of St Martins and Minus18 — welcomes Melbourne’s young people to share your experiences and stories, meet the Escape Velocity participants, and perhaps film your own statement to tell the world who you are!
